Let the Resolutions Come

Let the countdown begin for the New Year
and the resolutions come thereafter.
Cheers to the coming year
to enjoy the New Year’s laughter.

Don’t get too tipsy before daylight is broken
or your relatives will begrudgingly attend you.
So let the thoughts of your heart be spoken
for these resolutions to come true.

begrudgingly means you do something even though you don't want to do it. An example of begrudgingly is a child taking out the garbage after his mother orders him to do so, grumbling the whole time.
