People need to do random acts of kindness, it’s goes a long way |

Peers never realize how much their words affect others. Words are sticks and stones which makes the saying “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” irrelevant to life. People go home and cry about words people have said to them. The suicide rates for teens are absolutely awful. Suicide has become the “permanent solution for a temporary problem” : hurtful words. Bullying can be physical or emotional and we have eight year old kids hanging themselves because of the harassment their peers are giving them. If we all followed the Golden Rule, if we all realize that kindness goes so far in life, then maybe we could have a better future in store for everyone. Things will never be perfect, but if everyone chipped in a little helping hand, whether they stood up against a bully for someone else who is helpless, said one nice thing to a random person, or showed that they actually cared. |
