A couple decide to spend a day at the beach on their anniversary

Tring tring... 'mom calling' read the cell phone display. Ann answered. After the usual formal greetings, her mom asked her that question. Ann knew it was coming, but wasn't prepared with an answer. "Ann? How are you going to celebrate your wedding anniversary? If you guys are free drop by for dinner." Mom asked again. Ann hasn't planned anything for the anniversary which was the next day. She tried to avoid her mom's monologue which was sure to ensue if she said she had no plans to celebrate her big day. " That's nice of you mom. But Henry is only five months old. We can't take him on a car ride. So it will be a simple quiet family time
"It's been a while since your last visit. I would even babysit little Henry while you and Ben catch up on your alone time." Mom offered. It was too tempting for new mom Ann. It felt like she had been confined to the house ever since Harry was born. She fell for the bait. "I'll let you know mom. Thanks."

She browsed the internet for vacation outings. Road trips, Hawaii, restaurants... hmm, planning a vacation is hard work. Maybe just a movie and a quiet dinner at mom's house? She mused. She took a long breath and looked out the window. She saw Ben's car pulling into the drive way.

After an hearty supper they retired for the night. Ann seized the opportunity to convince her husband for the vacation.
