was attracted to my boss' daughter but nothing really transpired
ATTRACTION OR BY DESIGN?

Who are you, disturbing my train of thought?
Why are you suddenly resonating in my mind?
Are you the one I was looking for, try to find?
Are you a figment of my imagination, are you the cause of this elation or is it just infatuation?
No! Let’s call it confusion.

Why am I thinking of you in this way,
Should I be professional and just try to do my work for the day?
I’m like a troubled soul trying to find my way.
Like a New York train moving through a dark subway.
Is this attraction or by design or am I just a fool towing the line?

Why I am suddenly conflicted, I hate being restricted?
Why can’t I just ignore your comments or take them at face value?
Why turn everything into an issue, is this the way to address my feelings when I miss you?
Do you even know of my existence, what chance do I have to your resistance?

You like a tour de force, failure to comply will end in just cause.
Sometimes I stare at you at work and gym and feel the need to go out on a whim.
It feels like time stands still when I look at you, taking my mind to pastures anew.
Like planets aligned for a couple of seconds, but frozen in time.
You are the reason I composed this rhyme.

Are you my muse or my Greek Aphrodite?
Looking at you makes everything feels right?
I wish you were the one to illuminate my life,
Maybe someday you’ll be my beautiful wife.
I’m not asking you to be my wife
All I want is to be part of your life.
Is this attraction or by design.
Time will tell if something transpire,
In the meantime I can only admire.
