Consulting My Muse

What subject shall I use for this ode?
To decide I consult my muse,
Intone the prayers of God's Glory,
And meditate upon the mode.

From my spirit theme and subject flowed,
As in my mind the words I choose;
Words that will fit the allegory,
And enhance the musical mode.

Gratitude to my muse I now owed,
Writer's block my Lord's prayers diffuse,
My muse is the Pen of God's Glory,
He helps me to compose my odes.

Form: La’Tuin is composed of 4-line stanzas, with a strict syllable count per stanza 9/8/9/8. The rhyme scheme throughout the poem is abca for each stanza. The first stanza is repeated as the last stanza. The rhyme for each stanza line is "Lines 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16 etc., all rhyme - this is the 'A' rhyme.
