Sitting in the emergency room with the doctor, my teeth felt weird. I'm not sure what I was doing there, or how I had gotten there. I wasn't in any pain. My tongue kept pushing against my teeth like I used to as a child when I had a loose tooth. I then realized that was exactly what was happening. My tooth was coming loose on the top. Suddenly, as my tongue moved, more of my teeth came off and I spit about 4 or 5 teeth onto my hand with blood. It didn't hurt.
I showed my hand to the doctor next to me and she nodded and stated I needed surgery for a full extraction of all of my other teeth. As she walked off to make the preparations, I just kept spitting out more and more teeth. What was wrong with me? Why were my gums so weak now? I was going to have to get used to having no teeth. What was I going to tell my mom when she arrived at the hospital. Thank god the room was dark. I could only imagine what I looked like in the mirror, just sitting calmly as my mouth oozed blood and I was holding all of the teeth that fell out.
