I seem to have taken a bit of a break from writing. About 2 weeks. My birthday was last week, I turned 31. Nothing has really changed with this passing year. Life is still moving as it has been. I have had some experiences that have been good, and some bad. Overall this last year has been one for the books though. I tried something new and I really enjoyed it, for the time that I did it. But now I feel weird when I do the work. I feel like it isn't what I want to do anymore. So I stopped. It is possible that I will go back to it, in time, but for now I am taking a break from that life. Writing and video games have come back to the forefront and I am thoroughly enjoying both. I am also listening to more music now, instead of just watching gamers on youtube. Music definitely gets the creative juices going - most of the time. XD

We got new gaming laptops, which has definitely made gaming a more fun experience. Games aren't lagging anymore and we can play more games than before. It was definitely worth the money to upgrade all of us. We still have our old computers - I am using mine for my writing and general internet stuff and editing/uploading videos.

I'll keep on writing though. The inspiration has started to dry up but I am sure it will come back sooner or later.

It is crazy to think that it has been almost 3 years since I last wrote on this blog, since I started it since I last really spent any time on this website. I go through spurts of activity, spurts of writing. I am in one of those writing moods right now.

I am working on rewriting the first book I ever self-published - The Perfect Nightmare. The original is so horribly written. I can't believe I thought it was polished enough for publication. I was still a child when I finished it. My writing style hadn't formed. It was just a bunch of word vomit.

I've thought a lot about the characters, and how little they were developed before and during the story. I also realized there just weren't enough death scenes in it. The origins of this story are gorey and brutal, and I want to portray that. Also, it became too supernatural for what it was meant to be. Yes, it deals with a creature living in the walls, but no one needs superpowers.

So here I am, writing it as I get inspiration, highlighting parts of the book that I want to include in the rewrite, and posting it has each chapter is finished. I hope that someone reads it and enjoys it, but I know that is unlikely, what with the blood and gore.

I am not entirely sure about how this blog will work for me. I already have a regularly updated blog on WordPress, and I tend to forget about things if I don't make a habit about them. But I will try to keep up with this at least bi-weekly, if not weekly. I may just share blog posts from my primary here, if nothing else. I hope that everyone has a lovely rest of their week *Heart*
