What a Friend We Have in Jesus

No one else could love us more
He’s always by our side
He gave his very life for us
With arms stretched open wide

Every time you feel alone
Know that Jesus cares
Every time you feel afraid
Believe that Jesus dares

He’s stronger than anything
We face in this earthly life
He’s wise enough to guide
Us through pain and strife

Jesus conquered death and sin
So we might be at peace with God
He loves us just the way we are
Perfectly human, deeply flawed

He knows our every burden
He prays for our every need
He loves us with all He is
He is our best friend indeed
