A love story gone wrong
From across the lands
Came your irresistible smile
From the depths of depression
You brought forth a smile

You stood firm
I held you close
My love uncontested
Your beauty to boast

Lost in your eyes
Entrapped by your touch
In love with your kindness
You were my emotional crutch

Just when I devoted all
You tore my heart from my chest
You held it hostage
I felt nothing but unrest

You stabbed at my soul
You knew I'd never stop loving
You tormented my spirit
To the edge you kept shoving

You smile at my demise
The beast had been slain
The man became a myth
My love started to refrain

I lost it to you
Quickly thrown away
And gone is all feeling
As you smile at my fray

Now you walk on
I am left to the shadows
My heart from sunny pastures
To the deepest, darkest gallows

Here I sit in the darkness
Trying to push out
But in the end it will be you
My reason to doubt

Trust nevermore
Love even less
Evil prevails
My soul set to rest

A love so true
A heart enslaved
In the end became
A Love Betrayed
