A visit so unexpected.
It was Friday night, and as usual after the daily routine, I retired to bed at the usual time.As it was the weekend, I sat reading a book, which was interesting. At around 11.30 I went to bed to sleep. I lay awake for some time thinking over the works of the day. At 12 midnight suddenly my phone rang, and immediately I sat up in bed to see who rang so late in the night. It was my daughter Ann, and for a split second some unwanted thoughts ran through my mind. I took the call, and my daughter Ann, said that she was at the door with Stan her husband. It was a surprise for me as I did not expect her to come. I opened the door and my joy knew no bounds of welcoming her home.
She said that she wanted to give a surprise by her visit. It wan indeed a very happy surprise that we had.It was the weekend and it was good that we had her with us to spend it together. The weekend turned busy for me as I ran about buying things to make the time together special in every way. Stan too liked to spend the time together with us.Though he had a busy schedule, he had the weekend off to himself, so we had a really good time together. Sunday evening as they left to go to their home, I felt a tinge of sadness . I could not accept the fact that they will now be busy in their life again, and that we would again be separated, til we meet again in the coming days.
It was indeed a memorable day for us all.
