Round 85 Pond Poetry, Lumps 'n bumps contest with specific rules and quote inspred
Inspirational Quote for Contest: "I took my bruises, Took my lumps, fell down and got right back up." Eminem "Beautiful"

A bleed on the brain brought me down.
I languished in pain and a blur
For days.

Strange dreams prevailed. No appetite.
I could not tell time nor could I walk
Alone.

My left side was limp, contrary.
My emotions almost vanished
From view.

My sense of direction was lost.
Rehabilitation was slow
And hard.

The dread of what the future held
Loomed over me replacing pain
In time.

Would I regain full use of my limbs?
Would I be an invalid all
My days?

Medical staff and family
Encouraged, pushed, helped me, waited
And prayed.

I learned it all again, to read,
Walk straight, drive, open doors and be
Normal.

The twist is to be revealed within the last two stanzas.
