She is strong, right from birth,
She holds us all, our Mother Earth.
She is our home, a place to live,
Always on the spin, always restive.
She has plenty, enough for us all.
Green fields, trees big and tall.
Her seas bountiful, her oceans endless,
Man exploits them, always, ceaseless.
Food she has plenty, ample for everyone,
Man fights and destroys, leaving for none.
Seasons she had, each their beauty to praise,
Now storms come in Spring and Summers are ablaze.
Man razes and wrecks her heart and soul,
She suffers but endures trying to keep us whole.
Man forgets her beautiful nights, her stunning dawns,
He craves for more, for power he longs.
She cuddles us like a mother her child,
But in his ignorance, Man has gone blind.
There won’t be a day to cry and mourn,
When there will be no Earth, no place, no home.
