This is the part 2 of The Story of Love
[Introduction]
Trent looks at him, confused. "What was that...?"
"Well, you lost your job right? I want you to come work for me when you're ready to go back to work," Jason explained.
"Jason......I.......I don't know how to thank you!" Trent replies with a huge smile.
"You don't need to say anything. It's not a big deal." Jason shrugs.

"Thank you, Jason," Jessica tells him while giving her brother a hug.
Trent sighs happily. "You both have done so much for me.........I'm so lucky to have met you both."
"Yes, you are. Don't you forget it either," Jessica teases Trent.

She leans down and kisses Trent, "love you."
Trent kisses back softly. "Love you too Jessie."
Luna cuddles up next to Trent and starts purring. "She's one content little kitty," Jason adds.
"Yea." Trent agrees as he pets Luna. "Love you Luna."
"Alright my love, you need to get a little rest and I need to get some things cleaned up at home. I want you to think about what you'll need from your place so Jason and I can go get it tomorrow." Jessica was explaining while tucking him in.
"Will do.....you may want to take Luna back." Trent reminds her
Jessica laughed, "Yes, of course. Silly kitty." She placed Luna in her purse then leaned down to kiss Trent, "I love you, baby. Dream of us."
Trent kisses back softly. "I love you too dear, I will dream of all three of you."
"All three of us?" Jessica looked quizzically at Trent.
"You, Jason and Luna."
"You're silly! I think the painkillers are kicking in. I meant to dream of me and Luna. I love you, baby get some rest."
"I think they are too!" Trent agrees. "Love you too. See ya!"
Jessica and Jason left the hospital and stopped to grab a bite to eat on the way home.
"I'm really happy to see you happy finally, Jess," Jason offered.
"Thanks, me too. I really love him, Jason."
The painkillers slowly put Trent back to sleep.
Once home, Jessica and Jason start cleaning up a bit before going to bed.

Jessica tossed and turned all night with bad dreams while Luna tried to comfort her, to no avail.
Trent had bad dreams about losing Jessica. When he finally woke, he sat up and screamed her name in worry.
The next morning Jessica got ready to go to the hospital. She was exhausted from not sleeping well but felt a strong urgency to go see Trent. She picked up a coffee on her way to the hospital.
Trent was watching TV while he waited for her to visit.
"Hi, my love. You're awake. How are you feeling?" she says with a kiss.
Trent kisses back and looks at her. His eyes showed signs of recent sobbing. "N-not too well."
"Baby, what's wrong? Have you been crying? Are you in pain? Those damn nurses, I knew I should have stayed here last night!"
"Dear.........I had horrible nightmares last night........"
"Do you want to talk about it?" she said sitting on the edge of the bed holding his hand.
Trent holds her hand and nods. "I'd love to.."
"Ok, good. Please tell me."
Trent goes on for about 30 minutes about a dream where she was murdered.
"Baby, I'm right here, I'm fine," she offers reassuringly.
"I-I know......but.....I was thinking about what it would be like without you around........" He tears up again at the thought.
"Well, we won't have to worry about that for quite a long time, ok," she said and kissed his cheek.
"Okay dear...." Trent blushes softly and smiles at her. "Love you.."
"I love you," she says as the doctor walks in.
Trent looks at the doctor.
"Hello, Trent. How are you feeling today?" the doctor asks.
"Physically, much better. Emotionally, an emotional mess.
"that's pretty normal after a traumatic event. You need to give yourself time to heal, emotionally too. I will give you the name of a therapist to see when you leave here." the dr said then turned to review Trent's chart.
Trent sighs. He didn't want to see a therapist. Last time he visited one, he didn't help at all.
"Well, Trent. Your bloodwork looks perfect. How'd you like to go home?" the doctor asked.

Jessica's face lit up at the question.
"I'd love to go home." Trent replies with a smile.
"I'll get the paperwork started and you'll be on your way in a couple of hours."

"Thank you doctor." Jessica said as he was leaving.
Trent smiles at Jessica. "Thank you for being there for me."
"Of course, silly, where else would I be?" saying as she kisses him. "I better run to your place and get you some clothes to wear home. You can't go out in that," Jessica laughs.
Trent kisses back and chuckles at her. "I love you Jessica.."
By the time Jessica returned with clothes for Trent he was signing his discharge papers, "Perfect timing, baby!."
"Hey Jessica!" He finishes the last part of the paperwork. "How is my lovebug doing?"
Jessica giggled, "Much better now! Jason will be up in a minute and we can go home!"
Trent cheers and smiles happily. "Yes!"
"Are you hungry? You must be sick of this food in here. Tell me what you'd like for dinner and I'll make it," Jessica said.
Trent smiles widely at her and replies with, "Surprise me!"
"I can do that," Jessica smiled.

The nurse popped back in to say that he was ready to go and they'd have an aide come with a wheelchair.
"I can walk. It was just my shoulder."
"It's hospital policy, you sit tight. You'll be on your way in a minute," the nurse explained.

Trent sighs and doesn't bother to argue.
Jessica chuckled at him and gave him a kiss while holding his face in her hands.
Trent kisses back deeply
"You ready, baby? Let's go home."
"Agreed."
Before they left the room, Jessica called Jason to bring the car to the front as she was coming down with Trent.
Trent had Luna in his lap. He pets her as he waited for the car.

Luna purrs loudly,
"I think Luna is happy to be taking you home too," Jessica said while bending over to pet her.
Luna licks her hand.
Once they arrived at Jessica's and she got Trent settled, she gave a list to Jason for groceries. She was in the kitchen making pot of coffee chatting away to Trent who wasn't responding. When she peeked around the corner, he was fast asleep.
Trent had another dosage of painkillers pumped into him right before he left, so it knocked him out
Jessica grabbed the throw off the chair and carefully cover Trent with it and then kissed his forehead.
Trent smiles in his sleep as a small blush covers his cheeks
Jessica retreats to the kitchen for coffee and to start preparing dinner as she waits for Jason to return with the groceries.
Trent snores softly
Jason arrives back from the store just in time bringing the necessary ingredients Jessica needs to make this wonderful welcome home meal for Trent.
Trent actually started to wake up
Jason and Jessica were in the kitchen talking while Jessica was cooking. A few minutes later Trent walked in.
"How long was I out?"
"Hi baby, a couple hours," Jessica said kissing him. "You're up just in time for dinner, it's almost ready!"
Trent kisses back softly and smiles. "Thanks dear....I love you."
"Love you back! Jason grabbed some stuff from your apartment, it's on the bed, ok?"
"Okay......wait....where am I going to sleep?"
"Well, I fiigured while you are recuperating you can sleep in my bed," Jessica said matter-of-factly.
Trent blushes lightly. "Y-you sure?"
"Of course. I'll sleep in the couch. It's no big deal," she replied.
"I'm not putting you on your own couch."
"Don't be ridiculous, Trent! You are sleeping in that bed," she said playfully waving her finger at him.
"One condition."
"What's the condition?" Jessica chuckled.
"You're with me..?"
Jason laughed out loud and winked at Trent which left Jessica blushing, "We'll discuss that later, privately. Dinner is just about ready."
Trent smile and nods. "Okay."
"I need you both out of the kitchen, please," Jessica said with tears in her eyes.
Trent nods and walks out.
After they left the kitchen, Jessica could hear them laughing and talking in the other room. She walked to the window and tears rolled down her face as she stared out over the city. She felt Luna at her ankles and reached down to pick her up.
Luna looks at her. 'What's wrong?'
"Oh, Luna. Go play with Trent. I need to get dinner finished." Jessica says as she sets Luna on the floor. Luna scampers out of the kitchen and Jessica pulls the plates from the cabinet.
Trent sighs to himself. 'Why is she so nice to me?' He thinks to himself
"Because she loves you," Luna replies.
Trent looks over at Luna. "D-did you just talk?"
Luna just looked at Trent and meowed, curled into a ball and fell asleep.
"I....I think that last dose of painkillers was a bad idea..."
"Ok, guys. Dinner is on the table," Jessica yelled from the kitchen.
Trent snaps out of it and walks to the table
"I've experimented with you guys today. Hope you like it." Jessica said as she sat down.
Trent sits down with a smile
"So, what do you guys think? Like it or no?" Jessica asks while pouring herself a glass of wine.
Trent tries some of it and nods. "This is amazing!"
Jessica smiled, "I'm glad you like it."
Trent nods and continues to eat.
Jessica gets up from the table to give some little bits of meat to Luna.
Luna eats the scraps happily. 'I love you Jessica!'
"Of course you do Luna, who else gives their cat filet mignon?" Jessica laughed.

"Did you say something, Jess?" Jason inquired from the dining room.
'Trent did from time to time.'
"That's because you are a very loved and special kitty," Jessica said patting Luna.
Luna rubs against her hand, purring.
Jessica returned to the table to finish up her dinner and found Jason and Trent in the middle of an interesting conversation.
"I always wanted to be an artist." Trent admits
"What's your favorite medium?" Jessica asks.
"Oil paint." Trent replies.
"Do you need me to pick up your supplies from your place today?" Jessica asked.
"You would do that for me?" Trent asks, surprised.
"Why wouldn't I? You can't get around right now. That's why you're here, so I can help you." She responded.
Trent doesn't bother to remind her that it was just his arm that was shot. "Okay then, I'd appreciate that luv."
As Jessica winks at Trent, she asks if they are ready for dessert and coffee.

"I think she might need some coffee," Jason says motioning toward Luna who fell asleep beside her food bowl.
Trent chuckles at the comment.
"Don't laugh at our poor baby. She's got a full belly," Jessica laughs.
Trent smiles at Jessica and looks at the time.
"Are you okay? Need your meds?" she says as she gets up from the table.
"Yes please." Trent says with a nod. "They are in my backpack on the couch."
"Here you go, my love," Jessica said handing Trent one of his pain pills and his antibiotic.

As Jason was clearing off the table he said, "Jess, go sit down with Trent, I'll clean up'."
Trent takes both and stands up. "Very nice of you Jason." He goes to the couch and sits down.
"Do want a blanket? Are you ok?" Jessica said as she spotted Luna walking toward them.
"I'm fine dear." Trent replies.

Luna rubs against her leg.
Jessica picks up Luna and she quickly settles in her lap as she pats her.
"I feel so tired all of a sudden," Jessica yawns.
Trent nods and stands up. "Same." He yawns softly.
Jessica was about to say something and then nodded off. Luna was on her lap fast asleep as well.
Trent felt bad for being the one who was to sleep in the bed, so he carefully moved Jessica and Luna to the bed.
"Trent where are you going," Jessica said softly.
"I feel bad taking the bed...so I moved you two to it so I can take the couch."
"No, come lie down with me, please."
"Okay then." Trent nods and lays down next to her, smiling.
Jessica fell right back to sleep and was comforted knowing that Trent was there, beside her.
Trent kisses her cheek and falls asleep, cuddled up to her.
During the night Jessica sits up in bed and starts screaming, waking Trent and Jason.
Trent jumps awake and hugs Jessica. "Shhh! Calm down! I'm right here..."
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Jessica says through sobs.

Jason rushes in asking what's wrong and finds his sister crying.
Trent holds her close and kisses her forehead.
“Is she ok? Bad dream?” Jason I inquired.
"That's my guess..." Trent sighs softly.
Jessica apologized to them both and fell back to sleep in Trent's arms.
Trent holds her protectively and falls asleep. He worried for her.
Early the next morning Jessica is in the kitchen making coffee and feeding Luna.
Luna eats happily.

Trent walks out of the bedroom, yawning.
"Good morning, coffee?" Jessica asks with a kiss.
Trent kisses back and nods. "I would love some coffee."
"How are you feeling? Need your pain pill?"
"Nah. Pain is what makes us human." He points out
"Here's your coffee, and breakfast is almost ready!" Jessica said cheerfully.
Trent takes his coffee and kisses her cheek. "Thanks dear."
Jessica soon brought two plates for Trent and Jason, omelets and bacon.

"Here you go, boys. Enjoy."
"Thanks Jessica. Love you." Trent replies as he takes his food.
"I love you. I'll be right back," she replied.

Jessica returned with a plate for herself and the coffee pot.
Trent smiles at Jessica. He was so lucky to have her in his life.
"So, what are you boys up to today?" She asked.
"Well........I have to rest my arm for about 5 more days before I begin PT.........if I try it any sooner the wound might open back up....how about you?" Trent asks with a smile.
"Well, I need to clean up around here and get some work done. I've fallen a little behind, I'm afraid," Jessica said as she handed Trent his pills.
Trent takes his pills and nods. "Need me to do anything?"
"just sit over there and look cute," she chuckled.
Trent chuckles and nods with a smile. "Will do." He finishes his breakfast and looks her.
"Jason, can you come to the grocery store with me? We need some stuff," Jessica asked her brother.

"Sure, of course," he replied as he took his plate to the kitchen.

"I'll be on the couch.....call me if you need anything."
"You too. Call me if you need anything," she laughed.
"Will do dear."
