Dear Me,

     I’ve already accomplished one of my goals for this year already. I have started my first contest.

The Monthly Script Writing Contest  (E) Not just another monthly contest. Instead of Short Stories or Poetry, it's about Scripts. #2144083 by PureSciFi

     This is the first month for it. There have only been three entries so far, but there have been three hundred and forty-nine views as of today. So, there might be a few more entries by the end of this month.

     Besides the contest, I want to start two activities this year. I’m just not sure if I’m going to start them this year or not. One of them might be started at the beginning in June, but I need to do a little bit more research before I can do that. I’ll explain the reason why soon. I plan on doing it, but they both might be started at the beginning of next year. If so, they will be part of next year’s Dear Me letter to myself.

     At the very least I will get them ready to start next year. They are both the same kind of activity. Yet they are also both different. One of them involves writing a screenplay aka movie script, and the other one will be for a teleplay aka tv script. That’s right, these activities are also Script related just like the one for my monthly contest.

     These activities are a cross between NaNoWriMo October Prep and A Whole New World. They are more like A Whole New World, though. Each one will be a six-month activity. Only instead of daily assignments like with NaNoWriMo, they will be one-month activities to help you write a full-length movie and or a tv script. They aren’t just activities, though. Not only will they be doing the activities, they will also be doing their scripts too.

     That’s why I need to do a little bit more research. I want to do start with the movie script and then the tv script. Only I’m not sure when the best time of the year is to do them. That is where the research comes in. These activities are not only designed to create these scripts but to sell them too. The best way to do that is through contests. Not WDC contests, but scriptwriting ones. There are several of them out there. Only they cost fees to enter them. That’s another reason why I need to do some additional research. The sooner you enter these contests the less your fees are.

     Besides my contest and activities, I’m going to be working on my scripts too. I have already started working on the Outline and Treatment of my first movie and tv series. Both of which are the same thing. The movie is the introduction to the tv series and the first episode of the tv series is the first tv script. That’s another reason I want to do the movie script activity first.

     Most of the time I’m going to be working on my scripts, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to give up on my other obligations with WDC. I’m going to continue writing for contests like this one and my reviewing. I also have a couple of activities that I either started or participated in last year.

     One of them is A Whole New World. I’m just not sure if this activity is still going on. Last month was a Free Make-up Month. We were supposed to start up again this month, but we haven’t yet, and it’s been almost two months since her last post about it.

     The other activity I’m not even sure I’m going to be invited back to. That’s the NaNoWriMo October Prep Challenge. I did okay with that challenge. Not so good with the November Novel Challenge. I only got one chapter down in each one of them. That’s why I’m not sure if I’m going to be invited back this year. True, I plan on doing it. I’m just not sure if I will be allowed to do it.

     Once more thing I want to accomplish this year. That’s my reviewing. Last year I reviewed Blogs whenever I could. I did it a lot, but not as much I would have like to. This year I have decided to review Folders.

     Besides my Script writing, the WDC contest, my reviewing, and my activities, I am going to have a very busy year ahead for me. It’s not going to be easy for me to do, but if anyone can do it it’s me.

     That’s all that I can think of to write in this letter to myself. If I think of anything more I will include it into this letter. I’m sure I will as the year progresses. That is true whether I am adding to this letter or deleting them. I have already done that with my first contest, and I’m sure there will be more both ways before this year ends.
