a poem about dishonesty

For a Liar
What happened to the closeness, where are they all now, what led them to find emptiness a better place to stay then here and now
Where were you when the house came down, and what happened to the understanding when secrets crystalized like the stones on her jaded face when she learned there is no such thing as someone who never lies and never lies
What happened to the closeness, and what happened to the truth when secrets and lies take the best of people, keeping them in a house of sighs and whys
What happened to the security, and what happened to the girls with the clasped hands who chased the emptiness from one another, rather than spread the pain of one another
When did doing wrong become the pass time, where are the girls now, what led them to become encrusted in diamonds and gold, rather than a growing mind in shriveling skin
which begs the question, What happened to the closeness, but when close people become obsessed, possessed with this fake love they find emptiness in bystanders and wish to fill the space only to be rejected
and his careless mind just buried the past keeping secrets and your dishonest eyes just buried those past lies
Where were you when the house came down, where are the close people
he may sit on a throne of broken bones, but would you really want to take his place, alone with their harmfulness for which they may never atone
you used to point your mouth like the barrel of a gun, now you leave words like mines in the people around you to spread the damage
clever but I don't think it's that cool to be a "savage"
hurtful words can't break bones but I still don't condone the usage
It always comes down to two, only there's something different between them now, what led them to lose trust is what led us to be less trusting
jaded encrusted in diamonds and gold, that's a lot of stone, where is the self you considered so well known
Where were you when the house came down, where are the close people now, what led them to lie understanding what makes the divide between broken hearts
They might be happy waiting embedded in lies for an apology from someone who knows not that they've done wrong, but only that they've done what they wanted to
so go ahead and crown your kept secrets and bow before it on the throne of broken bones
but when you meet your queen, remember that you look only at the epitaph on your gravestone
