In memory of Heather Heyer, Charlottesville, VA (An Open Expressions Poetry Entry) |
🕀 Of Darkness Born … His darkness hides behind a smile; unheard, he whispers a Sieg Heil! His heart is filled with hatred’s brew if you are black, Muslim, or Jew. You’d think he was a normal guy, unnoticed as he passes by, his evil darkness held within except for writings on his skin. His failures are another’s fault. He feels it like wounds rubbed with salt for which he cannot find a cure. They fester and he must endure. He drank the poison in his youth, a mixture of distorted truth. The Holocaust was just a fraud. Only whites are blessed by God. Encouraged by those of like mind he journey’s until he can find a way to vomit out his hate on innocents. He chose this fate. Like the creature known as Hyde his hatred, hidden deep inside, finds an outlet and release by hurting those who stand for peace. Through bullying and violence, he cloaks himself in self-defense to justify his evil acts against the Jews, Muslims, and blacks. We can’t allow him to exist. His evilness we must resist, condemning those who fail to stand against this blight upon our land.
