A letter from a daughter to a missing father.
Hello, It's your daughter.

You know me.

You love me.

You left me. All alone.

You're not dead, not hurt-

But you feel,

so

far

away.

Hey Dad, I miss you.

I just want you to know.

It's been a while.

It'll be a while longer.

Hey Dad, I just want you to know.

I love you.

So do they.

Your new family.

They're nice, but-

I wish I could tell you, how much you mean-

to me.

The way you brush my hair from my blotchy face,

red from crying.

The way you laugh at all my jokes,

even when they're stupid.

The way you tell me-

"It will all be okay,"

even though it won't.

I miss the way you distract me,

from the evil things in my head.

Taking me on long drives, talking under the stars.

I wish I could tell you

how much I will miss you

But you know me so well-

I have a feeling,

you already know.

Hey Dad, It's me.

Your daughter.

I love you.

I miss you.

It won't be okay.
