A Single Candle Burns

A single candle burns tonight,
beckoning to my love’s lost soul.
Tiny as it may seem to be,
it’s all he needs to find his way home.

A beacon in the dark of night,
that lights a path that leads to home
my children know it's warming ways -
a single candle gives its light.

Friends know the warmth it gives
belies its tiny little glow.
It’s a place they can always come, for
