When Life looks like it's going away without you...

In the here and now,
The vibrant colors of my existence
Have become muted and faded...

The fabric of my soul,
Now,
Thread-bare,
Worn and tattered,
In disrepair...

Torrents of wind
Rage against me,
Ravaging,
And challenging
My totality...

I hold fast,
My grip weakening,
As Life washes away,
From beneath me...

All I have perceived
To be,
And that before me,
Now fleeting,
Across an endless,
Starry sea...

I exist
Within a state of desperation,
Anger and frustration...

And I watch from afar,
As my life moves onward,
Without me...
