A love poem about the Sun and Moon.
The Sun shined brightly, she loved the light,
The Moon glowed dimly, he loved the night,
The Sun brought life to all she reached,
The Moon brought life to blackness he breached,
The Moon had his owl, The Sun had her dove,
While both were happy, both never had love.
Two beautiful souls, striking in their own ways,
Can only be kept apart for so many days.

One fateful night, between two sets,
The Solar and Lunar, finally met,
The Sun was delirious,
The Moon was serious,
He found her imperious,
She found him mysterious,
It seemed like fate, from prophetic scripts,
That love would be found, on the first eclipse.

They were meant to depart, they were meant to stray,
But defied their fate, and together they stayed,
But with no master of day, and no master of night,
The Earth felt sick, something wasn't right,
Nature fell out of order, and began to collapse,
The owl and the dove fought over time laps,
The Earth cried out, and begged them to asunder,
The truth hit the two, like heartbreaking thunder.

They had to be apart, the truth was so plain,
So they shared one more kiss, then separated in pain,
The Sun had the clouds, the Moon had the stars,
Though no company of friends could heal these scars,
But two beautiful souls, striking in their own ways,
Can only be kept apart for so many days,
Now both hang in the sky, craving each other's lips,
Eagerly awaiting, the next eclipse.
