Each poem is something I had to write for a class

If Only

If Only

You were nicer

If Only

You appreciated

The places I drove you

And the things I bought

For you

If Only

You didn’t complain about

Every Little Thing

My Dear Sister

I would hang out with you more

Childhood Toy

My young sister begged me

To play catch with a toy train

So we threw the train

Back and forth,

Until it hits my sister in the forehead,

Leaving a small indent where the wheel

Hit my sister’s head

Among Other Things

I need to find a shirt my sister stole.

I need to find the gift card I lost last week.

I need to do a ton of laundry.

I need to read a bunch of books,

But instead I’ll reread Harry Potter.

I need to study more,

But Netflix gets in the way.

I need start exercising.

I need to stop going to Dunkin.

I need to stop consuming so much sugar.

Among other things.
