Poem written by me an original work by T.M Shuert
[Introduction]
What was I but a memory long gone.

Fate dealt her hand much faster than intended, erasing what was left.

Stripped of all that was me, changing though not for the better.

Struggles consume me I fight a daily battle.

Normal? Not even sure I remember what it even is.

Hiding behind laughs, smiles & jokes.

No one sees my mask that hides my hurt, fears & doubts.

Pain is a real existence that cannot be escaped.

This is what's left of what I call me.
