In this wilderness I have come to survive by being the king of my own madness.

Upon head
Weight
Nothingness
At side
Travesties
Unkind
Out front
What could be
Far behind
What has been
Now here
An existence
Between
Bright day
Ominous night
Foolish
This paradise
A delusional
Illusion
Letting me
Allowing us
Some semblance
Normalcy
Surviving
It must be
Finding a way
Through
To what most
Would be
A sentence of death
Doomed
Crowned hopeless
Believing in nothing
In the truest sense
No deity of choice
Can I hold close
Praying to
Said nothing
All the while
Surviving the same
Teetering
Upon the edge
I fear not the fall
Or the rise
I fear only the same
As has always been
The true darkness
Of my plight
The endless fight
Against the madness
Within all of this
Crowned hopeless
You out there
With limited care
How do you do it
How can you manage
Blindly being unaware
Unable to see
Any real truth
Any certain thing
Tangible ideas
Laid at the alter
Spread bare
A feast galore
Exposed to you
And for you
By me
Crowned hopeless
Upon head
Weight
Nothingness
At side
Travesties
Unkind
Out front
What could be
Far behind
What has been
Now here
Any ideal
Every idea
Two sides
Of the same sword
Driven deep
Into this heart
And mind
I will only survive
If I can find ways
To adequately define
What it is that I
Have come to know
About what most
Often you
Refuse…
