Multiple Sclerosis, Morphine
I feel the flush of fluids fueling,
the daydreams only it could rouse.
And now it's color overruling,
the dark eternity I browse.
The sunrise through the garden crawling,
between the blooming flowers sprawling,
their breath of color most enthralling;
in daydreams only it could rouse.

The children revel round the playground,
My first pink flat toe ballet shoes.
My family frolics at the campground.
We hung in lust of mountain views.
We fell in love in fields of flowers,
and danced until the mid-night hours,
and dreamt of vows in chapel towers;
each flush of fluids fuels my muse.

I feel the sting of nerves on fire
that permeates my every bone,
Enslaved by stagnant flesh I tire.
In endless darkness, mute I moan.
Recalling words crouched in foreboding,
my flesh will take its time corroding,
tormenting toxic bombs exploding;
within this shriveled shell of stone.

I feel the flush of fluids fueling
the daydreams only it could rouse.
Again, it's color overruling,
the dark eternity I browse.
The sunrise soars above the ocean
dispersing dark with bright commotion,
the beauty is a magic potion,
in daydreams only it could rouse.
