When the elements of nature converge
Oh, my children, this is what happens when you do not listen.

The storms hit the Campgrounds in merciless fury.
Wind and rain converged in abundant bounty
to force the lakes and rivers to leave their natural boundaries
and marry one to the other in selfless seeking.

Time allowed the flood waters to recede.
What the lake and river would not accept back,
the earth fed on the excess and gorged herself in delight
Blissfully ignorant of heaven’s weeping

Now we must cleanse that which brought this destruction.

It is time to light the ceremonial fires.
To call upon the eagle and the hawk
To take the prayer requests for healing of the land and nature back to the
Spirits that reside in the Universe.

Summon now the mystic Medicine Man.
with sacred pipe, sage, and tobacco ties.
Prepare now the sweat lodge. The cleansing will begin
with the beat of the drum and chant of the ancient verse.

Turn now, my child, and soon you will see the land healed and blessings given.
