clowns balloons speech moose Brexit or Convention (Use one or the other) mime So the Brexit vote is over, the buffoons have departed Celebration balloons for a narrow victory. The rat, the moose, left the sinking ship, Cameron, Farage bade their farewells. A result they didn't expect, One dreaded, the other hoped for. The behaviour of politicians became insane, Acting like demented clowns. Wouldn't it be better if they didn't talk, If each were just a mime, Acting out their campaigns In silence, like Charades. We would at least have fun guessing, Like the game, at what they were doing. Farage in Europe, predictable, gloating Gove with a knife, back stabbing, Running, caught in the act, leaving A new Prime minister to rise to the top. She's let Boris, the goose, loose On an unsuspecting world. He's made more than one speech To make up for previous gaffs. Kerry and Boris it seems, already Starting the healing process. In today's politicians lies a danger, That look in their eyes, Of power hungry insanity. Opinions running out of control, Whipping people into frenzies, Until they are lost in madness. We need an awareness Of those we follow. Not in blindness, but reality. Not in rhetoric, but in-depth Understanding of all Their true character and words. |
