We've all made mistakes in our lives. The prologue for a hopefully short serial. Enjoy.
The sun seeped through my drapes. Fluttering within the large beam of light was a large clump of dust and pollen particles that I'd continuously stared at for what seemed like years. I can't explain why, but it just seemed so intrinsic to me. Watching a scattered group of specks slowly come together in one fantastic moment is something that, despite sounding very uninteresting to most, truly made for a beautiful sight. But, that's just me.

Perhaps I'm just pretentious, or simply boring. I don't know. Either way, it at least made for a perfect photo opportunity. Stuff like that is definitely far from being considered " miraculous", but still isn't all that common. So, I leaned over the side of my bed to grab my phone and take a picture.

Sadly, by the time I got my camera into the perfect angle, the large, swirling clump was already gone. It honestly made me a bit disappointed. After spending at least three whole hours of my time looking at those particles in anticipation of finding that elusive " perfect" shot, I was hoping that it would've lasted forever. However, my brain thought up with a rather...unique method of making it stay. I let one of my arms reach out in front of me.

As I held it up to the ceiling, I could see that everything was going according to plan. My phone slipped from my hand and on to the floor, whilst the dust and pollen reformed back into the massive clump. With that done, all I had to do was pull my arm back and swiftly release it; there it was. A dusty vortex stuck in time. I reached once more for my phone, and snapped the photo.

Then, I released it. Pulling my arm back and shoving it forward one more time brought it back into it's hypnotic motion. The remaining hours of the day zoomed past me, and before I knew it, the sun had already set. I decided that I didn't really feel like doing anything else other than sleeping. As I covered myself in my sheets, I couldn't help but wonder the sort of direction tomorrow would take.
