Some thoughts while wandering around at night in Chinatown.
Chinatown Gentleman’s Club

In the streetlight I saw it,
By a dumpster, peeling paint,
Faint glow from rusted windows,
Too ugly to be quaint.

Rosewood pearl-inlay chairs tell of better days,
Histories that no one thought to pen:
Of ghost men who once sat down here,
With wealth long spent since then.

Of cigar smoke and men in suits,
The Bentley by the door:
Decadence of days long gone,
An era of no more.

Description: So one night, I was wandering around Chinatown. It's quite gentrified , and many building have been refurbished, but there are still some streets that can still tell an (un-whitewashed) history. Sometimes when you walk around in the present, you see glimpses of the past.
