The Waltz

She gazes raptly into his eyes.
Captured in his spell, she flutters ~ away from safety to the edge.

Swaying rhythmically, he entices her
ever nearer with promise in his burning eyes.

She glides attentively towards him.
In her dream-state, she senses danger ~ but is powerless to resist.

Subtly, he draws her ever
closer to his perilous gleaming orbs.

She dances in his seductive gaze.
Fear is swallowed as she approaches ~ unaware of the yawning abyss.

He strikes quickly.
His eyes glitter as he devours
his helpless victim, a willing sacrifice.
