Ravings of a Sane Lunatic

It has been awhile since I have been here, I apologize, but life gets in the way, and writes block sometimes plays into the mix. Drives me crazy but for me it is a very short drive, not even worth getting in the car. For me it is step out of my cave and there I am in crazy town. Population 1... ME and my moldy cheese eating dust bunnies and on occasion a tennis shoe wearing centipede.

Now writers block has had a hold on what little creativity I have had lately. So if anyone has an extra sledgehammer lets break down this bad boy. Also in addition to having writers block, I have had a real difficult time wrangling in all the creative thoughts in my thinking space. I have tried but it is like herding cats. Now I don't know about you, but herding cats would seem to be frustrating and pointless. Those feline creature have a mind of their own and do what they want, when they want and how they want. They do not ask for permission or forgiveness. They are interesting creatures to watch.

I stopped watching the news because of all the bad crap in the world. Since when did we become a kill or be killed society? I do happen to read the news, and it is election time, and what I see the candidates are more concerned at cutting down one another. Ummmmmmmmmm shouldn't we be concerned with fixing what is broken? Like say for instance, why are out veterans struggling in the world. Some are homeless, and I do understand some are homeless by choice, but why are they losing their homes? They were fighting for our freedom. Or they are fighting some senseless war that we really didn't need to get involved in. Don't get me started there.

Another issue is why are there senior citizens out there having to make choices on whether to keep their heat on or get food, or pay for their prescriptions? Why are they not getting enough social security to be able to have all? I know... let's put those FAT CATS in Washington DC who are making these decisions, on Social Security. They would not be able to survive. They get raises on a regular basis. How about the president? He makes 400,000 a year.... why does he get that much, he doesn't have to pay rent, or utilities. He doesn't have to buy groceries or clothes. He flies everywhere for free. And gets driven around for free. And then when he leaves office, he gets a pension that is equal to roughly $200,000 per year. They are also given funds to help them to transition into life after being the president. Those funds can be used for office space, staff compensation, and communication services. They also get travel expenses paid for if it is used for an official function. Plus they get protection for their natural lives. They will also get medical treatment at military hospitals, they can get private insurance but they have to pay for it themselves. And when the pass away they get their funerals paid for.

After all of that is said and done, there is so much that could be changed to help the struggle people of America instead of lining the pockets of the rich.
