I understand myself above all else. I live this life, doing what I feel I must to survive.

I know
I understand
Better than most
Above all else
Oneself
No one else
I’m here
All alone
All I know
What I have
Is this person
Who I am
Myself
Oneself
I am true
To the lie
I am certain
Of the truth
Well aware
All of it
Quite clear
In darkness
I see light
In all else I see
My own plight
I fight
A good fight
I give this place
And my case
Hell
I won’t relent
I won’t break
Nor bend
I will do what
I’ve come to do
What I have to
Oneself
An ideological case
Of a finite space
Meant to be a lesson
One lived and learned
Many ideas
Brooding within
My illogical mind
People
Should not know
Understand themselves
As well as I do
There should be surprise
A sense of wonderment
As to what could be next
How could this end
One should never see
The page ahead
Of the one they’re on
Oneself
By myself
Alone
I have to be
Incomplete I seem
But indeed
Incomplete is what I am
Least of all
No being I know
No idea I understand
Is more complete
Than the person I am
Arrogance is not
What this is
This is a realization
Via many of
The darkest of days
Days that would destroy
Those lesser than I
Days that would break
The core of their spine
And decimate their mind
Those days and that time
Has brought me here
To this wicked waste
Of a life born is haste
All that I can do
Is write these words
Than no one reads
Until I have no words
Left to leave behind
Oneself
It’s a way
That suites me well
How I’ve come to live
How I continue to survive…
