The impacts of childhood.
A whole life spent searching for one truth.

We are born by and raised by people we don't choose.

Yet there are still wonders to why we are so different.

Is it really so hard to understand that we are products of a parent?

In some cases two and in some there are none.

Imagine being raised without love, imagine what you'd become.

How lonely the feeling it must be, to be so small.

As if your voice doesn't matter until you grow tall.

The only ones in the world who have you in their care.

They act as if they don't see you.

As if you're not even there.

How helpless the feeling, to go through it alone.

The worst feeling one can fathom.

And you're not even grown.

Children grow fast, there is but one chance.

To show them what love is

How to sing, laugh, and dance.

With the world so big and a child so small

Those who have grown aren't understanding at all.

Don't love a child and then walk away.

The child wondering where you went, day after day.

Look at the kids, if it's the future you seek.

Look into their hearts, see what they believe.

But don't ask me where hate comes from.

You should already know.

These children unloved

In hatred they grow.

Soon they are big and still all alone.

In isolation and deception, the seeds have been sewn.

Now in the world, you expect them to care?

For all of their scars to somehow repair?

Of course there are lost souls walking around.

Once they were children,

with love never found.
