A brief poem about the idea of an eye for and eye and how justice is always done. |
-At The Scene Of The Crime- by Keaton Foster Blood Guts All of this Nuts Who Killed who Evidence Does suggest The finger pointing Begins One accuses Another Then every other Before long All are suspects But not one alone Is yet guilty At the scene Of the crime There is Evidence Much of it Inadmissible Most of it Inconsequential Specs of it Irrefutable The assailant Will be caught It might take time It may take An eternity But rest assured His day will come He’ll be tried By his peers Convicted By the same The punishment Will be quite fitting Death Lesser the means Unequal the pain But in the end It will be the same An eye for an eye One life For another At the scene Of the crime The truth Always hides The want And the why Also evades But be sure Without question That justice At some point Will indeed be done People are capable of The greatest of evil But behind every act Remains many facts It just takes one To lead To every other The killer Will be caught Thus be judged Convicted For what he’s done Put to his end An eye for and eye A life for a life Justice must be dealt Regardless the price… At The Scene Of The Crime Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
