Both Thoam and Robberti were having problems getting ready for their date that evening.

Dates

Thoam had a date that evening. On the way home from work he picked up a bunch of flowers. Once home he put the flowers in a vase – eventually.

“Where is that vase? I know there is one around here somewhere,” said Thoam.

It took him another ten minutes. But he finally found one. Thoam put the flowers in the vase. And put the vase next to the front door. “I don’t want to forget them again.

Robberti was running late for her date. She still had to stop off at the grocery store to get what she needed. While in the grocery store Robberti also remembered she needed bread too. After getting her groceries she headed home.

“It took that couple an hour to look at that house,” said Robberti. “And then they decided they didn’t want to buy it.”

On the way home her car broke down – again. Robberti had to walk the last few blocks home. She looked at her watch. “There’s no way I’m going to get this Steak dinner done by the time he gets there.”

A truck came racing down the street. Whoever was driving it almost hit both Thoam and Robberti. The truck first hit the curb. Then the sidewalk - and then them. Thoam and Robberti both dived for cover. Their flowers and groceries littered the lawns.

Thoam got to his destination. And knocked on the door. He had no flowers. A minute later his date appeared. Her name was Graise.

Robberti couldn’t fix steak that evening. So she settled for chicken. She knew he liked chicken. Robberti didn’t expect to get it done in time. But she did. When the doorbell rang she answered her door. It was her date. His name was Heictor.

The End?
