This should be The Haunted Hotel of PaaKaa. Read on to see why it isn't.

The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa

“I’m not staying at this hotel,” said Micka. “There is no way I am going to stay in a haunted hotel.”

“You knew this was a haunted hotel. I thought we agreed to coming here on our vacation,” Jasion said.

“No, we didn’t. I would never agree to that,” Micka said.

“Yes, you did,” said Jasion. “We were talking about our vacation this year while we were eating out about a month ago.”

“That was almost forty days ago,” said Micka. “I remember talking about our vacation this year. But I don’t remember talking about any haunted houses.”

“You are the one who brought up the subject of haunted houses,” Jasion said. “Micka, you said that you came to this planet when you were a kid to stay with your Second Father for a few months. And one of the reasons why you liked visiting him was because there was a haunted house nearby.”

“I kind of remember talking about a haunted house. But that was when I was a kid. I’ve grown up. I haven’t liked haunted houses in over thirty years,” Micka said.

“The way you were talking I was sure you wanted to come back here. I had a lot of trouble finding that haunted house. You don’t talk about that three-month mid school year vacation with your Second Father,” said Jasion

“That’s because of what happened at that haunted house,” said Micka. “I thought a bunch of boys were trying to scare us girls. But I was wrong. It was a family of real ghosts. And they didn’t want us there.”

“What happened? It must have been something big,” said Jasion. “You don’t scare that easily.”

“Like I said the ghosts didn’t want us there. And they were willing to do whatever it took to get rid of us,” Micka said. “That including killing us. We all barely got out of there alive. I haven’t been back there since.”

“I didn’t know,” said Jasion. “You should have told me. The way you were talking about it I was sure that you wanted to come back here again. I thought this would be the perfect vacation for us.”

“It still can be. I haven’t been back to KaaTaa since then. But I’ve wanted to,” said Micka. “Especially about six years ago. That when my Second Father died. I didn’t even come for his final days. Yes, I know I should have gone. But I was afraid to do it.”

Jasion just let Micha talk. He knew from past experience that once she got started interrupting her was a big mistake. Besides, it was the best way to get it out of her system once and for all. “Maybe it’s a good thing we did come back here for are vacation this year.”

“But why did we come back here?” I mean why did you bring me back to my Second Father?” Micka said after thinking about what’s going on for a second or two.

“I did, Micka. While I was searching the haunted house I thought you loved I found out it had been transformed into The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa. Whoever acquired it probably didn’t know it was haunted. They also probably tried to get rid of it. But they couldn’t. So they turned it into The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa,” Jasion said. “Why they called it KaaTaa instead of PaaKaa I don’t know. But it’s probably because it’s now the most famous haunted house on KaaTaa.”

Micka was the only one who could talk and talk. The only reason why she didn’t interrupt him was because she had been thinking. “I still don’t do remember saying I wanted to come back to this haunted house. But if I did I’ve changed my mind. I want to leave – now.”

“We can’t do that,” said Jasion. “I mean we can, but if we do we are going to lose five thousand Credit. And we really don’t have that much to lose.”

“Five thousand Credits! Why is it five thousand Credits. I know that we are going to be here for two months. But it still sounds pretty high to me,” Micka said.

“I just told you why,” said Jasion. “It’s probably because The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa is the most famous haunted house on KaaTaa.

“It doesn’t matter how many Credits we are going to lose,” said Micka. “I’m not staying here another second.”

“We can’t leave,” Jasion said. “It not just losing the five hundred Credits. The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa really is haunted. And the family of ghosts who haunt it don’t like being walked out on. If you think they were bad when you were a kid, they are even worse now.”

“A family of ghosts! When I was a kid! I thought you didn’t know what happened to me,” Micka said.

“I didn’t know about you. But while I was searching for your haunted house I found about the family of ghosts – and just how bad they were supposed to be,” said Jasion. “And from what I heard from other guest, and everyone around PaaTaa, they are even worse than they used to be.”

Just then an announcement filled the room where Jasion and Micka were in. “Jasion and Micka, your room is ready.

Jasion and Micka’s room wasn’t ready. So they had spent the last three hours in what used to be the Eating Area. It was still an Eating Area. But it was a lot bigger now. Micka’s already commented on that. Jasion and Micka had been eating and drinking ever since they got there.

As they got up and head to the front entrance into The Haunted Hotel of KaaTaa, which is now the Lobby, Micka notices the time next to the Eating Area exit. “Oh great, we got our room just in time for the family of ghosts to come out for the night.”
