Take me away

Take me away, from this day,
It hurts too much. .... I cry.
I stare ahead, from my bed
I shudder as I lie.
My soul is bare, raw in despair,
a wingless bird can’t fly.
My stomachs pit, a wrenching hit
in searing misery…..I cry

Take me away, from here I pray,
my wounds won’t let me stand.
I gave my heart, now torn apart
grey sadness floods my land.
I went so deep, a soul to keep
but now I am so spent.
My future portends no goodly ends.
I bleed, my hopes are rent.

Take me away, or by me stay,
give salve to me my friends.
Hold my gaunt hand, remove the sand
that haunt me from the winds.
Give me a shoulder, make me less colder
Shut up and let me moan.
Then stroke my hair, smooth out despair
Hold me, I am so alone.

Take me from here, to what I hold dear,
awake the one who has died.
Open the gates, damn all the fates
I must on your hopes be tied.
Bring me good food, brighten my mood,
don’t stop when you’re first denied.
My hollow domain, by inches reclaim.
I’ll stumble, then walk by your side.

Take me from here, assuage my fear,
Help me trust when it has been earned.
It won’t be alone, my life to pwn.
Help me take my hate to be burned.
My life is now grey, so color my way.
Be relentless and don’t let me drown.
I’ll pay it back soon, you are my boon,
My family, my friends, don’t back down.

Epilogue:
Don’t take me from here, I’ve paid so dear
to defend those that I now take care.
Though visibly scarred, my resolve is not marred
walking paths that we warily share.
My wings don’t fit right, the stitches are tight,
my armour has been forged in hell.
Battle ready know how, my safety’s off now.
mess with mine and it won’t go well.
