Regina Spektor's album What We Saw from the Cheap Seats is one of my favorites for its diversity of ideas and melodies. I never know what I'm going to get when I listen to one of her songs, and half the time I still don't know what she's talking about after countless listens. But I love her music because it is sometimes cheerful and sometimes sad, but always meaningful. Every song is its own story, full of whimsy. Each one is like a mystery that you as the listener must solve for yourself, which makes it fun to write stories about them.
Note: I am using the regular version of the album, with 11 songs.
