A boy has too active imagination. Daddy comes to the rescue with a snugly old Friend.
Only a short wile ago, in a town not to far from here, was the room of a young boy by the name
of Eddy.
Now Eddy was a boy in every way and was not afraid of most things, much to the worry of his
parents.
Eddy would climb trees to their very tops and had only two speeds: running as fast as he could
and perfectly still.
Still, Eddy was afraid of one thing more then then his parents yelling. Eddy was afraid to go to
sleep.
Eddy would lie in his bed and look into the darkness, knowing something was hiding. Waiting
for Young Eddy to fall asleep so it could gobble him up.
Eddy was even afraid to yawn, or a witch might breath poison down his throat
“Don't be so silly.” would say Mom.
“Everything is safe” would say uncle Bill. Still, Eddy was afraid.
One morning, after another sleepless night night, Daddy called Grandpa.
“He says a goblin wants to eat his toes.” Daddy said, “and a witch wants to poison him.” Just
then, at the same time, daddy and grandpa knew what to do.
Daddy hung up the phone and grabbed his keys. Daddy was off to Grandpa's.
That night, Daddy took Eddy to bed. After laying Eddy down, Daddy reach into a bag and
introduced Eddy to “the brave and mighty, Mr. Snuggles.”, the teddy Bear
White was his patchy and worn Fur. on his side was an ancient grass stain and on his tail was a large brown stain.
“The Brave and Mighty, Mr Snuggles, is not just any Bear,” Daddy said, “Mr. Snuggles has
spent years training as a protection bear at the academy for the Anti-Monster Task Force.”
“Many years ago, He was my guardian at night. The Brave and Mighty, Mr Snuggles, will protect you as you sleep.” Daddy said,
Then, with a flick of the lights, Daddy kissed Eddy good night.
That night, Eddy slept because he knew what would happen. Once His eyes were closed and
Eddy was off to dream land, Mr. Snuggles got up and onto duty.
With a mighty leap of his cotton stuffed legs, Mr. Snuggles jumped to the toys on the floor. Mr.
Snuggles took a wheel from a toy car as a shield and a ruler as a sword. He then Jumped back onto the
bed and waited.
“What are you?” asked the Goblin in the closet.
“I am The Brave and Mighty, Mr Snuggles.” He replied with a wave of his ruler sword, “Young
Eddy is from now on, under my Protection.”
“Mr. Snuggles” asked the witch with poison breath in a huff, “I heard you bested the troll under
Master Williams Bed.”
“It was I.” answered The Brave and Mighty, Mr Snuggles with a beat of his chest.
“I heard you undid the Beast beyond Young Rodney's window” said the Gobbling Monster.
“It was I also,” boasted Mr Snuggles.
“We will trouble you no more.” said the monsters and they left.
It was a little wile later, in the same town as before, that a boy called Theo feared a gremlin that
crawled along his ceiling.
Theo's daddy came to his room one night.
“You have no need to fear this gremlin any more.” Theo's father said, “I want you to meet my old
protector, The Brave and Mighty, Mr Snuggles.”
