The following haiku came to me, over time, while journaling my struggles with meditation!
Meant to remember,
but the thought train carried me
to nowhere today.

Let go of all views-
one angle shows partial truth.
Seek the superset.

Sticky, pretty thought,
as it tries to take me with--
drifting out too, see . . .

Riding the wild mind,
nothing arises alone.
All depends on all.

These words have power.
Harmful or helpful; skillful
speech, my intention.

Beyond your struggle,
you breathe, so self aware now,
you see your own eyes.

Thought, light and fluffy,
ever present, and waiting
for us to follow . .

Our life, like the sea,
appears to be a solid.
But where is the edge?

Thought, like picnic rain,
snuck into my campground,
and doused fire . . .

This breath, always there,
while cubs play, waking the woods-
To it, I return.

You entertain me,
so that I try to beware
every moment.

Thought, light but sticky,
never ending stream of thought,
keeps me unaware . . .

The trees and the breeze
filling up my attention,
when I dwell in ease.

What's "right intention?"
You'll discover mine hiding
in the mushroom patch!

Do vultures cause harm,
or do they clean our highways,
living free of hate?

Where does the brook go?
When does water turn to steam?
What is this, right now?

Where was that last dream?
So vivid in my mind now,
walking through some woods . . .

Thought, like light balloons--
let them float away, to where
we do not follow!

I ride the wild mind,
steady with my breath, I wade
inside awareness.

These words have power.
Harmful or helpful; skillful
speech, my intention.

We gaze at the lake--
not the choppy wavy lake , , ,
the calm lake reflects.

The sunny morning
shines through the meditation
and calms that breathing.

You stay with me, here
at the waters edge, staring
at the ocean sun.

When I ordered steak,
the Dharma showed me I stood
in a Sushi Bar.
