Coming SOON The Murder That Wasn't a “Murder” But Worse...
This is not the story it is an idea for a story or short work of between 5000 to 9000 words in length. Synopsis Barbour is a 6'4” classical musician playing viola for a quintet. One day during a rehearsal break, he checks into the bathroom and through the bathroom window he observes a crime: an old lady is standing in front of a much younger man choking to death, holding his throat with both hands. “You've poisoned me!” the dying man cries in pain. The old lady just laughs at his face. Barbour rushes inside the rehearsal room in an upset mode and shares his impression of what he has just seen. His friends dismiss his claim and joke with him that his blood sugar must have fallen off. After the rehearsal Barbour pretends he is driving away but after he goes down a block, he returns to the spot where he had observed the crime. Nobody is there but bloody marks on the ground... and the tire marks of a vehicle...then he sees a dog with a WALLET in its mouth! Barbour chases the dog and garbs the wallet. It belongs to the old lady: Helena Schmiddten. Barbour goes to the police and reports the crime. The cops find Helena and fetch her to the station where she successfully proves that she couldn't have committed the crime. She has an iron-clad alibi. But a man fitting Barbour's description is indeed missing: a fisherman by the name “Red.” Barbour finds Red's family; all grieving beyond belief. He was a good husband and provider but caught for minor “infractions” in the past. Then came alcohol. And Red has actually committed suicide last year. So who was the man Barbour saw choking to death from that bathroom window? Then Barbour finds out that Red knew Sam, a gorgeous blonde who took to life on the streets after she met Red at a beach. And it turns out Sam is old lady Helena's granddaughter! As Barbour dives deeper into the Red-Sam-Helena triangle in order to prove to his friends that he is not crazy, he receives a phone call from Red's grieving wife that changes everything...
