Summer Rhyme

Bare feet dancing
know the tune,
the careworn floor,
the full bright moon,
are theirs for
taking
for accompaniment,
on warm summer nights
of abandonment
to tickling breeze
through rough, reedy grass
and unbound hair,
the tangling laugh
of pleasure,
pure and sweet
while dancing
outside, moonlit,
on bare feet.
