A twisted little flow poem just to get me going. Enjoy |
-Bits Of This And That- by Keaton Foster A fifth A forth A bit of this Some of that Just a pinch And a speckle All of it Trickling down Spreading around Spilling out Flooding doubt Sweeping reform Not the norm Different And so on This A sung song By me Mute I may be Moot I do seem But indeed In this world I do scream Loud and clear Verbose Never to ease I will not cease Silence Or so it seems Never will it be I’ll go on And on Forever And then Just a bit more Will it end Not quite Then again Never is simple While I friends Am complex Bits of this And that Smaller stones At the base Of a larger mountain Carved into my spine Driven into this mind A fraction of a heart Made completely whole Of what I know And how it is That I know it I will tell I will lie And then fill in Those spaces between Gods and fools are kings While I Am a servant To you people I do this Not for money Nor for fame Not for glory Or allegorical Hodgepodgery I do this because There is no less Bits of this And that Fills my cup Sharpens my staff Allows me back To this place This wilderness of pages All of them empty Each of them dichotomies Each other And one and another Are ready for me Are waiting for me This is what must be All the smallest fractions Of my interactions Will be placed Into a greater image Of both beauty And atrocity Thus The people who read They will become Increasingly free Of all that is to be And all that I do see… Bits Of This And That Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
