Just a few
Some
Many
Plenty
How much
Not known
I’ll pretend
Then again
I opened this can
I spoke the words
Wrote them down
Challenged myself
And certainly
Each one of you
This poem
Utter madness
Instant classic
Rightfully so I guess
In my head
Which was empty
Became impregnated
With such an idea
No father
No mother
Spontaneous creation
Gestated the concept
Toiled and tossed
Slept little if not
Then I woke up
Screaming
Get out
Leave me
Release
Now
Just a few
Some
Many
Plenty
How much
Sheer brilliance
Utter insanity
Now that is indeed
A finer line
One often crossed
One often moved
Perspective truth
Here I am birthing
Her I am lending life
Will it continue on
Or will it wilt and die
I’ll never really know
I’ll leave it to you
I myself only produce
I of course don’t use
Once they exit me
Commutative
They forever come to be
Free to do as they please
Inspiring some
Many not
Questions raised
What does this mean
How can this be
How does it relate
Is there any power
Solid weight
Or is this man’s idea
Complete nonsense
Just a few
Some
Many
Plenty
How much
The poet in me
Whose brain bleeds
From an ever darker disease
Death will be
The only relief
But until then
Pen to page
Again and again
Thousands of times
A mountain of words
Placed upon the page
A few million children
To be associated with my life
Commutative property
Not for profit or gain
But for wisdom’s sake
Words like these
Will live onward
Way beyond me
And all of you
Just a few…
