Fading
Is the light
Been so
Now twice
Once this am
And now this pm
I can’t make
Head nor tales
Am I coming
Or am I going
In this about life
Or is this about death
Will I meet God
Or the lesser known
Apotheosis of he
Is my soul in peril
Or do I
Have no soul at all
Oh such an idea
What a pompous suggestion
Based on frequent interjection
How dare I
Just who the hell am I
Thus
These questions
Further coming
The answers
Not so much
Fading is the light
Between day and night
Between black and light
Back and forth
A swirling vortex
Confusion settles in
An overabundance jammed
Right in between
My fourth and fifth rib
Into my heart
Where there was once
Something echoing a spark
Now all that is there is dark
Now all that is there is
Heavily soaked
Brutal in scope
Drama is this queen
Off with their heads
Something minor
Rarely said
The fate of my enemies
Is far worse than that
Killers at times must be kind
A compassionate hand
Lends ease to the end
And to the wickedness of men
Forgivable offenses
Are at times
Unforgivable
I’m no different
Nor was I meant to be
Logical is this fallacy
Mired in certain truth
Is every single hypocrisy
Fading
Is the light
Between darkness and plight
Between obliteration and fight
I’ll give it all hell
I’m not ready to go
There is more that I want I know
Much more that I want to understand
I’ll question until there are no questions
That can be asked
Why is this continually happening
Each ounce of illumination
Made useless
By every darkness
Fading
Is the light
There is little left to see
Even less is visible here
Between two states of being
And not a single
State of believing
I’m still wondering
What is happening
Fading
Is the light
Been so
Now twice
Once this am
And now this pm
I can’t make
Head nor tales
Am I coming
Or am I going
In this about life
Or is this about death
Will I meet God
Or the lesser known
Apotheosis of he…
