two little kids trick or treating
Flash Fiction

As my sister and I were lying outside looking at the stars eating marshmallows we heard this noise over in the field. We ignored it at first but then it kept getting louder and closer. We started to get worried. We called for my mom and dad but nobody answered. At that point we thought it was them. So we just started laughing and kept going on with our “sister night”. My mom and dad came out the back door and asked, “What was the noise back here”. We looked at them and started laughing. “We knew it was you two messing with us” we said. “No we were in the room,” they said.
We heard the noise again. We all jumped up to see what it was. Nobody would go see, so we all went. We inched up closer and closer. We stopped, “What’s behind the tree?” we all screamed.
Two little monsters popped out and started chasing us. We all ran. We ran so far and glanced back and they were gone. We stopped and were wondering where they went. We wanted to go back to the house, but we were scared they were going to come out somewhere. So we went to a neighbor’s house and sat for a while. We finally left and headed back home. Then we heard the little gremlins again. We ran and they chased us all the way back home.
Soon as we got back we all jumped on them and pulled off their costumes. They said, “boo”. My little brother and sister was chasing people around the neighbor hood for Halloween. We all fell on the ground and had a laugh. Halloween was the best, now time to go give away candy.
