Caitlin and her best friend Abigail, dropped their backpacks by the nearest tree. They ran, giggling, to the pier and stretched out across it. A warm breeze blew across the lake as the sun shone down on the girls. School was out for the day and that was the furtherest thing from their minds. They closed their eyes and relaxed a bit, waking up with a start as sticks broke in the woods behind them. Before the girls could scream, chloroformed cloths were placed over their nose and mouths.
They girls woke up in an abandoned house. Caitlin recognized the place and looked at Abigail. It took them a minute to get back to normal. The chloroform had dulled their senses. When the abductor came in, she recognized him. Caitlin would never forget him. There was a smell of mothballs throughout the building. The roof had started caving in at the corners. This house sure did fall apart in such little time. Maybe that's a good thing, Caitlin thought.
