An oddly named poem about faith, who is right, and who has become quite wrong.

Whatcha
Not to do
So screwed
Sinners and fools
Standing in for tools
Machines hum along
Turning out product
Consumable ideas
For the brain-dead masses
A real vegetable stew
We are all doomed
Allahu Akbar
Is on the right
While heil Hitler
Is on the left
A few Jews and gentiles
Are scattered about
All of the Judeo Christians
Are smack dab in the middle
Uttering scripture
Like it’s going outta style
Saying this place
This isle of Eden
Was created for us alone
Preposterous and then some
We have no original ideas
None of our solutions
Are sustainable or remotely doable
The conditions
Consistently deplorable
We have no resolutions
Not a consistent one
We act like we got it
When what we have
Is “it” least of all
We are only sure
Without question clear
What should not be done
Examples still ring true
I mean come on
How many times
Does it take to learn a lesson
How many times can we lose
Destroying all that is love
Replacing it with all that is hate
A hate for not only each other
But for all that is different
Whatcha
Not to do
After destroying
Most of our fellow kind
Disease
An impedance
Bullets
Certain quickness
Faith
Interpretative ridiculousness
There is no one true God
Not one that approves
There is just us
Fools turned Godlike
Unto themselves
Heretics in kind
We are all so sure
So right
That this was for us
And not any of those
Jews, Gentiles, heretics in kind
The ones to the right
The ones to the left
All someplace in between
That when we pray
We speak only for ourselves
We condemn our enemy
Because we are sure our God
Is both right and righteous
And that our prayers
Out stump all others
Whatcha
Not to do
Sure the words don’t flow
The idea maybe a bit slow
But like anything else
The truth is hard
When there is nothing left
To keep you from seeing it…
