The Candle

A
lit
wick
may
be
A

way to keep thy grief at bay
light thy candle with dismay
a flame will flicker and sway
watch thy sorrow float away
slowly exposes all thy decay
all small troubles that weigh
so soon to be in bright array
with this flame thou will pray
let all that is murky and grey
gain colour in this fire ballet
while misery is led far astray
as thou blows all will convey
thy are finally joyful and gay
Lighting a candle will help keep sadness at bay
