Long
Strong
Broken
Into verse
So absurd
These words
Alone
Like wolves
Together
A pack
Danger
Elevated
Nothing
To be wasted
Everything
Again increasing
The power of one
Becomes some
As the will of none
Incites
More nothing
Emptiness
I can no longer stand
I just won’t listen
Not to the voices
Inside or out
Judge me
Thus judge yourself
Making sense
Is only half of it
The point is not
Nor is it ever
Meant to be clear
Think of these words
As breadcrumbs
Upon a winding trail
You can never see
Where it ends
Only where it goes
And that destination
Has little to do with
The journey itself
Asymmetrical
A symmetrical
Like north
Like south
Opposite spectrums
By just a few letters
Much of course
Is the difference
It can be both
It can relate each
God knows me
And I know him
Yet we are apart
Polar opposites
Vast differences
Keep us separate
I don’t hate him
But he may
Just as well hate me
I do wonder
Ponder with great
Significance
Is he so capable
So damn inclined
Never am I sure
Nor will I ever be
Acceptance
Step one
Realization
Step two
That as far as I am
Step three
Questions must proceed
I’m here
And he’s there
The story of my life
With him
And I fear
Most of everyone else
Writing
Like this
Takes perseverance
Living like this
Means surviving
Asymmetrical
A symmetrical
Sort of nonsensical
Somewhat identical
At least for those
Novice in thought
Simple in question
Never will they
Be looking
Fighting
The difference
They will just accept it
Maybe as diatribe written
To provoke a response
Garbage in
Garbage out
Damning me to hell
Oh the irony
Never does it get old
Questioning my faith
And in many ways
Questioning their own
Is in a weird way good
Healthy insanity
In increasing doses
Ultimately immunity sets in
I just know
I’m quite sure
Not only because
Of the meaning
Of these words
But of how they have
And continue to
Impact my life
Asymmetrical
A symmetrical
Seemingly the same
When in fact
The same is what they are
Without question
Least of all…
