Broken Foot: Set Me Free

I’ve been on this sofa for three long weeks!
Cannot sleep in my bed; the pain just peaks.
Not left the house! Just as far as the garden.
Crossword addiction is starting to harden!

Seventy-seven episodes of telly series!
Awful magazines filled with stupid theories.
Climbing the stairs is no mean feat.
I wish I could drive; sick of the backseat!

Writing poems; they're utterly nonsensical…
I really wish I felt more symmetrical!
Ought to quit the diet of coffee and coke.
With my husband off too, the house is a joke!

Four more weeks ‘til I lose the purple cast;
Soon this nightmare will be way in the past.
‘til then I’ll just keep looking like a banshee…
Think you see, I cannot wait to be set free!!
